A Harken batten car system combined with a fully battened mainsail makes hoisting, lowering and reefing easy and acts as an extra crew member when sailing short-handed. The performance of batten car systems outperforms boom or mast furlers. They are less expensive and do not require recutting the mainsail. One-piece solid aluminum construction is lightweight and strong. The recirculating ball cars allow the mainsail to be hoisted and reefed efficiently and quickly in all sails. Web-on side panels are essential for using the CB System B 3852 headrest carriage. Sold separately.
